Frequently Asked Dental Questions – High Point, NC
Ask Your High Point Dentist
Patient education is just as important as the hands-on services we provide here at Gentle Care Family Dental, because the more you know, the healthier your smile tends to be! That’s why you can trust us to always answer your dental-related questions, and below, we’ve gone ahead and included our responses to some of the most popular ones we receive every day.
How often should I get a checkup and cleaning?
The American Dental Association recommends that everyone, regardless of age, should receive at least two professional checkups and cleanings each year. Though, some patients may benefit from more frequent visits, such as if they have been diagnosed with gum disease in the past.
Can I bring my child to Gentle Care Family Dental?
Yes! Our dental office is happy to accept patients of all ages, including toddlers, school-aged kids, teens, and beyond. Dr. Bhadani has plenty of experience working with younger patients and knows how to help even nervous children relax while in the dental chair. With him, you can trust that your child’s smile is always in good hands.
How long will it take to fix my broken/decayed tooth?
The answer to this question depends on the type and extent of the damage to the tooth. For example, a small cavity can usually be repaired with a tooth-colored filling in a single visit, while a cracked tooth might need to be fitted with a crown, which can take up to two appointments to design and place.
Should I be concerned about my bleeding gums?
Maybe. Try brushing and flossing your teeth with a lighter touch for a few days, and if the bleeding continues, you should give us a call. This is a clear sign that you have a minor gum infection, which will only get worse if you don’t seek out professional treatment.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
Yes. Gentle Care Family Dental is happy to accept most dental insurance plans, and we’re in-network with the majority of providers. Just give us a call with your policy information close by, and we’ll be able to verify your benefits and give you an estimate of your coverage ahead of your visit.
What are some other ways I could save on my dental care?
Our dental office also offers flexible, low-to-no interest financing through CareCredit, or you can redeem one of our many special offers. With us, we’re ready to take great care of your teeth and wallet at the same time!
